This person could be Ralph or Molly Izzard. Ralph Izzard a journalist who spent many years in Beirut had also been involved in Naval Intelligence and acquainted with Ian Fleming. His wife Molly was a wartime FANY and later went on to use her inquisitive skills to study the works of Freya Stark completed a very interesting biography of Stark.
